Youth Group
First Presbyterian Church of Topeka has an amazing group of young people who meet weekly on Sundays at 12:00 p.m. to share faith, fellowship and food, with a lot of fun sprinkled in. As we share a meal, we also build bonds as we share deep matters of faith relevant to each of us.
Our fellowship and discussions have strengthened the faith we carry as we ponder how our daily actions are a reflection of that faith. We have learned from each other as we discuss important topics such as centering prayer, finding God in the midst of dark times, making time for God and other important and relevant subjects.
The youth group has been a strong participant in the mission of the church, serving in a variety of ways, including face-painting at the Trunk or Treat event, serving refreshments at the Polar Express party, finals week care packages for college students and providing music at the Blue Christmas worship service. The group has also enjoyed its share of fun experiences as well, including playing a variety of games, enjoying trampoline jumping at SkyZone, dinners out on the town, delivering blessings to church members unable to make it to church and participating in Presbytery sponsored youth activities.
